Between the villages of Aghios Vassilios and Platanaki, there are the ancient small town of Glypia and its castle.
Scattered remains, such as fragments of pottery and ancient vessels, as well as part of an ancient statue at the entrance of the adjacent church of Paleopanagia, testify to the existence of this ancient small city.
